The view from this station must be one of the most beautiful in the country. Kents Bank serves as the finishing point for the guided Cross-Bay Walks, and in the nearby village, visitors can enjoy good food and refreshment at the Abbot Hall Hotel. Within reach for the more adventurous walker is the local beauty spot of Humphrey Head, ideal for a well-earned picnic. Humphrey Head is said to be the last home of the wolf in England. Both Kents Bank and Humphrey Head lie on the Cumbria Coastal Way walking route.
While at the station, enjoy the Beach Hut Gallery, located in the old station building. Here there is easy access from the platform right onto the foreshore of the bay.
